The content on your home page should first be welcoming, give some information about the clinic, and be kept fresh with "current events" content. Furthermore the navigation on your home page should lead clients to the details they need next. Here's a sample of content for a home page:

Testimonials can give a nice warm fuzzy feeling to prospective clients. This can let them know that real people have used your services and have been pleased. These work well on a side-bar or on the services page.

Here's a nice addition to the home page. Quick access to your hours and phone number, especially the emergency contact number, is a very useful thing to have in a prominant location on your home page - or as part of the header/footer/sidebar area of the site so that it's available on any page.
